After busy days in Paris, we left to one of the wanders of France: Corsica.
We landed in Bastia and explored the city, really nice with its harbour, citadelle and small streets. We were also invited to Edouard's friend wedding, Jallal. A very colourful and beautiful Saturday night!
The next day, we went to Saint Florent with friends. A small city where the main activity is to take a boat to reach the stunning beach of Lotu. The colour of the water is turquoise, we felt like we were on the other side of the world! We hiked on the coastal track until Saleccia beach. A great day spent with friends which ended up with a wonderful sunset on the harbour.
On Monday, we started our roadtrip to the Cap Corse, the Northern peninsula. We spent the day between sea and mountains, passing by cute villages.
The second day, we reached Ile Rousse. Another stunning landscape! We accessed it by crossing a bridge 30 min away from the land. At the top, a lighthouse with a beautiful view on the sea.
We then left to Calvi where we caught up with Mathilde, a friend from Sydney. We ate fresh fish on the port and enjoyed some time at the swimming pool of her hotel.
It is one of the most beautiful road of the island, whom led us to Porto, a small port with stones beach. The main attraction is Piana calanques that we can visit by foot or by boat. As you can guess, we chose the hiking option. We did two different hikes, both amazing.
Coming back to Bastia, we stopped one night in Evisa where we walked to natural pools. The water was really cold to swim but the place was really relaxing.
We loved our trip to Corsica where we had a beautiful weather, we ate good food and saw amazing landscapes that we didn't expect. For sure, a place to see in France!
