Fianarantsoa, a village surrounded by rice fields

After having waited for hours at Ambositra's bus station, we took another local bus (way too many people) to get to Fianarantsoa. Despite a painful travel, we reached out destination 5 hours later.

The old town of Fianarantsoa is part of the UNESCO world heritage. It is located on the high part which offers an incredible point of view on the rice fields around.

For lunch, we stopped at the hospitality school “La Rizière” where we are a delicious tuna with honey. We walked in the crowded streets of the city and lived the atmosphere.

We stayed one day before heading to the oldest park in Madagascar, the Isalo National Park.
