School staff retreat

The school manager invited us to join the annual staff retreat before the beginning of the new year. The trip was only for sightseeing, not for work. It was a great opportunity to discover 2 new provinces of Cambodia, in company of local people.

Overall, we travelled a lot! We did approximately 1300 kilometres in 3 days including unsealed roads. We went very closed to the Vietnamese border first then the Lao border (we were even in Lao according to our mobile network!).

We visited some very nice parks and a coffee farm. Landscapes are very different from the school area where it is flat. It was the first time that some of the staff members could see hills! They were super enthusiastic and impressed every time we went somewhere. That made the trip very exciting. We realise every day how incredible our world trip is.

The highlight of the weekend was definitely the Preah Nimith waterfalls, at the Lao border, in the Mekong river. It was huge!

We enjoyed the weekend so much. The atmosphere was very good. We had fun with karaoke in the bus and learned many words in Khmer.
